Idyllic countryside community with unmatched elegance and serenity.

Welcome to Backcountry

If you are looking for a slice of elegant, upscale rural living, Backcountry is the place for you. This serene oasis sits just outside of Greenwich’s vibrant downtown but takes none of the lively noise with it. Life moves slower in Backcountry, with sprawling estates, tree-lined streets, and a truly one-of-a-kind atmosphere attracting numerous residents to its peaceful streets.
Backcountry’s zoning laws keep the area spacious. Houses have more room for amenities like pools, tennis courts, and guest houses. Some homes even have their own stables. Most properties are situated on a stunning four-acre lot, but if you want more space, the private 1,400-acre development of Conyers Farm offers 10-acre estates. Conyers Farm provides exclusive, luxury living for those looking to move to Backcountry. Residences are built among immaculately preserved conservation land, with some offering lakefront living located next to the gorgeous equestrian facilities at Greenwich Polo Club.
Living in this pristine countryside community does not mean sacrificing proximity to big-city amenities. Backcountry is not far from the Merrit Parkway, meaning residents can easily head to Armok or Bedford for a day trip. Also, New York City is only an hour and a half away, making travel, whether business or pleasure, into the city a breeze.
